I concluded some years ago ‘The Zodiac’ consisted of 3 (or more) persons:

Larry Kane

George Karadanis

& possibly his wife, Elsie, his partner Bob Maloff, and

Xenophon Anthony.

Hence ‘K’ for leader Karadanis and ‘mak’ for Maloff/Anthony/Kane

I discovered later by analyzing a clue in the 340 cryptogram that Maloff

was likely not involved, even though he paid for Kane’s burial.

Now adding Hugh Penn as the cipher author, in August 2022, I revised the group name to

ZodiacKPak

To include Hugh Penn, the mastermind and code writer
